An Exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clerical Officer to join the administration team on the IV Suite in Llandudno Hospital
The Clerical Officer will provide efficient clerical assistance to the ward. The provision of an efficient clerical service is essential to ensure the speedy admission, discharge, and transfer of patients.
By the nature of the duties, the Clerical Officer will be required to maintain strict confidentiality, and will be expected to deal with patients and relatives with courtesy and discretion at all times.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
To receive and respond to telephone enquiries from patients, families, other agencies and Health Board Staff in a professional, helpful and sensitive manner, answer queries within own area of responsibility or refer to the appropriate department.
Communicate with GPs; other Health Services and Social Services; Hospitals, Independent and Voluntary Sector, patients and relatives. Dealing with enquiries without the need for direction in a large proportion of queries.
Handle emotional and stressful telephone calls, e-mails and correspondence that may sometimes be of an abusive nature; report and seek assistance when necessary.
