ABOUT THE ROLE

Join our team at Mater Private Hospital Redland as an Administration Officer on a casual basis. Shift times are Monday – Sunday from 5:30am to 8:30pm.
Salary range: $38.81 - $43.16 per hour plus Casual Loading plus 11.5% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

As an Administration Officer your role will involve but not limited to:

• Processing patient admissions, ensuring accurate data entry input and managing theatre schedule.
• You will frequently liaise with the VMO’s and their receptionists.
• Providing administrative support to clinical staff across the Patient Services and wider Mater team.
• Data entry and data integrity working across complex spreadsheets
• Maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality, complying with administration, and financial policies and procedures, maintaining accurate, current, and accessible files, including maintenance of records of relevant meetings and discussions.
• Provide administrative assistance to other senior staff and others as requested.
• Exercise judgement where necessary to solve immediate problems in situations where precedents have not been set and procedures not defined.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

• Highly experienced in providing medical administration support (essential)
• Experience working with Microsoft Excel ability to confidently enter data into spreadsheets
• Highly developed time management and organisational skills
• Strong computer skills including competence in using Patient Administration systems (or the ability to quickly learn new systems)
• Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills and ability to work under the direction of others in a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Ability to organise and prioritise work effectively within a busy, fast-paced and demanding environment
