Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform cashiering duties including accepting and processing student and departmental payments
  • Accurately enter student financial data into appropriate systems
  • Monitor the cashiering email and respond to payment related inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Provide excellent customer service in person, over the phone, and via email
  • Assist students, staff, and the public with account inquiries and general information
  • Support front desk operations including answering questions, directing visitors, and resolving minor issues
  • Enter accounts payable data ensuring accuracy and compliance with WNC and NSHE financial procedures
  • Assist new vendors with the NSHE Supplier Registration process
  • Monitor the purchasing email account and ensure prompt responses and follow-ups
  • Assist with inventory and fixed asset processes including tagging and registering equipment
  • Provide backup support for asset management and inventory control processes
  • Perform general clerical duties including filing, scanning, and document organization
  • Maintain a clean and organized office workspace
  • Respond to internal and external communications in a timely and professional manner
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Controller

Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
Graduation from high school or equivalent education and one year of experience as a cashier
Additional Information
This is a part-time, temporary/seasonal position. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis to establish an applicant pool. As vacancies occur, they are filled from the pool. A background check including credit check will be required for all applicants selected for this position.
Compensation:
$18 an hour
