What you'll bring to the team SEA LIFE, the world’s leading aquarium brand for families, is looking for an Administrative and Accounting Assistant to join the team at SEA LIFE Porto. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a unique and engaging environment while supporting the day-to-day financial and administrative operations of the attraction. Reporting into the local Finance Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial processing, strong controls, and smooth collaboration with operational teams. Note: This position requires on-site presence and is not a remote role Key responsibilities Support daily administrative and accounting activities Assist with sales and revenue reconciliation, including ticketing and cash controls Process invoices, credit notes, and supplier documentation Maintain accurate financial records in line with company procedures and deadlines Support month-end activities and reporting requirements (VAT returns, SAFT-T, Form 30 and COPE) Liaise with internal teams to resolve finance-related queries Liaise with external auditors to resolve audit-related queries Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies Provide general administrative support to the General Manager and Finance Manager Qualifications & Experience Previous experience in a finance, accounting, or administrative role (1–2 years preferred) High degree of autonomy in performing duties Strong attention to detail with a passion for accuracy and numbers Well organised, ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and able to manage priorities effectively Comfortable working with financial systems (SAGE), and Microsoft Office (Excel in particular) A proactive team player with good communication skills Able to adapt in a fast-paced, visitor-focused environment Skills & qualifications Background in finance, accounting, or administration Good understanding of basic accounting principles Ability to work calmly under pressure and meet deadlines Professional, discreet, and trustworthy Fluency in Portuguese required Working knowledge of English desirable Benefits A unique workplace within a world-renowned attraction A friendly, supportive, and collaborative team A varied role combining finance, administration, and operational support Opportunities to learn, grow, and develop within Merlin Entertainments Posted Salary Range Competitive
