POSITION SUMMARY:

The Administrative and Billing Operations Associate is responsible for the timely and accurate handling of incoming business correspondence, insurance documentation, and payment processing tasks. This dual-role position supports both the operational and billing functions of the organization by ensuring efficient mail distribution, accurate recordkeeping, and financial reconciliation. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks across departments.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma required; Associate’s and/or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Prior experience in healthcare billing, mail processing, or administrative operations strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with EOBs and insurance payment documentation is preferred.
  • Ability to learn and navigate new web-based technologies, apps, and platforms independently and efficiently.
  • Proficiency with scanning tools, document management systems, and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
  • Proficiency in Google Suite strongly preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate financial information clearly and concisely and interact professionally with individuals at all levels.
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information (example: financial, HR, personnel, HIPAA).
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team, and prioritize daily repeatable tasks.
  • Collaborative and growth mindset with flexibility and adaptability to evolve processes, as business continues to expand.
  • Ability to pass a background check and credit check.
