WE ARE URGENTLY HIRING ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT FOR OUR CLIENT IN GUELPH.

The Administrative Assistant provides multi-department support for a variety of administrative tasks to meet time sensitive deadlines. Assists with various housekeeping, scheduling of miscellaneous services and office inventory supplies.
Shift: 8 am to 4:30 pm.
Pay rate $20 - $21 per hour.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

  • College or University diploma business administration an asset
  • 1+ years’ of administrative experience
  • Technology savvy, Intermediate level MS Office Suite, Adobe

  • Positive self-starter able to self-manage and prioritize effectively
  • Professional, positive attitude, responsibility of confidential info
  • Strong reasoning and critical thinking skills, detail oriented

Responsibilities
  • Provides administrative support to ensure efficient operation of office functions
  • Answers 5 to 9 line telephone systems, schedules meetings and supports visitors.
  • Carries out administrative duties such as filing, data archiving, copying, binding, scanning, organizing file systems for annual re-creation
  • Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning administrative projects and expediting work results.
  • Makes travel arrangements for senior staff such as booking flights, cars, and hotel or restaurant reservations.
  • Exhibits polite and professional communication via phone, e-mail, and mail.
  • Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, calling for repairs, maintaining equipment inventories and evaluating new equipment and techniques.
  • Maintains supplies inventory, checks stock and places Supplier orders expediting when appropriate for departmental special projects
  • works on floor with picking, packing, sorting and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Contributes to team effort as the ‘Go To’ person when needed
