ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT 1 - COEUR D’ALENE

The mission of the Idaho Industrial Commission is to fairly administer the Idaho Workers’ Compensation Law.
The Idaho Industrial Commission is looking for an Administrative Assistant 1 in the Coeur d’Alene field office. This position performs a wide variety of secretarial functions in the Rehabilitation Division Coeur d’Alene Field Office. Employees in this classification are typically delegated the authority to coordinate non-routine secretarial and clerical activities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Good knowledge of:

  • Office support functions including word processing, filing, composing a variety of business documents and front office reception duties
  • Gathering and compiling data
  • Balancing and coordinating a workload for multiple projects

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience aiding a manager, supervisor, and/or field consultant by interpreting, applying and explaining complex information such as regulation, policies or services
  • Experience answering a business telephone using knowledge of business telephone procedures and etiquette
  • An understanding and/or willingness to learn medical terminology
  • Good time management/prioritization skills
Responsibilities
  • Provide Rehabilitation Support to the Industrial Commission Rehabilitation Division’s Field Consultants who are responsible for providing vocational rehabilitation services to injured workers
  • First point of contact with the parties involved in the workers’ compensation system i.e. claimants, medical providers, sureties, employers, and attorneys
  • Create and maintain the rehabilitation case files
  • Research, analyze and compile accurate case information by independent contact with sureties, medical providers and claimants
  • Utilize specialized case management software to prepare correspondence, and edit case note entries for correct grammatical and professional communication of information
  • Work as a team to assure that timely and professional rehabilitation services are provided
