IBEW Local 426, based in Sioux Falls, SD, is seeking a highly organized and service-oriented Administrative Assistant to support our day-to-day operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes the initiative, and enjoys working with people.
You’ll be the first point of contact for members, contractors, and visitors—helping us stay organized, efficient, and responsive to our union family. If you’re detail-oriented, great with people, and experienced in office administration, we’d love to hear from you.

Responsibilities
  • Receive and process member dues (accounts receivable)
  • Own the accounts payable process by ensuring timely and accurate handling of financial documentation to support smooth vendor payments and financial operations (accounts payable)
  • Provide exceptional customer service to members, contractors, municipal organizations, and Rural Electric Associations
  • Greet office visitors and answer incoming phone calls
  • Crosstrain and assist in all general office duties
  • Edit, format, and submit contracts as needed
  • Assist with the development and upkeep of electronic filing systems
  • Organize and maintain a clean, welcoming reception and work area
  • Monitor and restock office supplies
  • Maintain confidentiality and manage access to sensitive information
