Ribble Autism School is a specialist primary school for pupils with autism dedicated to providing a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child can thrive. We are currently seeking a school receptionist and administrator to support the day to day running of the school and to support the Head Teacher with administrative tasks.

Duties will include:

  • Being the friendly face of the school, welcoming pupils, families, staff and visitors with warmth and professionalism.
  • Managing telephone calls, emails and daily correspondence efficiently.
  • Providing high level administrative support to the Head Teacher.
  • Payroll input, ordering and petty cash reconciliation.
  • Daily Health & Safety checks and paperwork.
  • Reporting month end information to School Business Manager
  • Recording of pupil and staff attendance, managing safeguarding records and key school documentation.
  • Assisting with meetings, diaries, reports and school events.
  • Support the smooth day-to-day running of the school office.

We are looking for someone who has strong administrative and organisational skills who can communicate clearly, sensitively and professionally with a wide range of people.
The successful candidate will demonstrate skills in multi-tasking, prioritisation and understand the importance of confidentiality and safeguarding. We are looking for a person with empathy and genuine interest in supporting children with autism and their families.
Within your role you will be required to support staff and pupils throughout the day with various ad hoc requests. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate qualities of being a team player and will have flexible, can do approach to the role. A good working knowledge of Outlook, Word and Excel is essential, and a clean driving licence is desirable as there may be a requirement to visit other schools on occasion.
