JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Administrative Assistant/ Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will support the accounting department by performing various bookkeeping tasks, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and assisting with the preparation of financial reports. This role is essential for maintaining the integrity of our financial data and supporting our overall financial operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, ) is required.
  • Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles, non-profit accounting practices, and public accounting standards.
  • Familiarity with financial concepts such as double entry bookkeeping, account reconciliation, and technical accounting is essential.
  • Experience with balance sheet reconciliation, general ledger accounting, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll processing is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate financial reporting.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks online.
  • Perform accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including processing invoices and payments.
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger reconciliation to ensure accuracy.
  • Prepare journal entries and manage debits & credits in accordance with GAAP principles.
  • Assist with payroll processing and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
  • Conduct account analysis and prepare financial reports for management review.
  • Support budgeting processes by providing necessary financial data and insights.
  • Perform bank reconciliation to verify account balances and transactions.
  • Collaborate with team members on various accounting tasks, including governmental and non-profit accounting as needed.
  • Utilize 10 key typing skills for efficient data entry and record keeping.
  • Perform administrative duties: Answer phone, greet clients, prepare paperwork.
