Description

Open Access Resource Centre (OARC) is a non-profit organization which supports Manitoba children who are unable to communicate with spoken language due to diagnoses such as Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Rett Syndrome, Autism, apraxia, or an acquired brain injury. We work to ensure that, through the use of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), everyone has a voice and is heard.
We are looking for a 1.0 FTE Administrative Assistant to join our dynamic team!

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with Quickbooks is essential (at least 2 years of regular experience)
  • Excellent computer skills with in-depth experience with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Google Docs and Sheets
  • Familiarity with Apple products preferrable
  • Comfort with researching equipment and online ordering
  • Organizational, time management, and attention to detail skills
  • Maturity of judgment in dealing with disability-related issues
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work productively as a member of a team
  • Excellent communication skills with a friendly, approachable demeanour
  • Post-secondary diploma or certificate in a business field is preferred
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: $23.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 37.5 per week

Responsibilities
  • Accounting Experience (creating and managing quotes and invoices, tracking financial transactions, bank deposits, processing of accounts receivable and payable, remitting to CRA for GST rebates)
  • Ordering equipment, tracking reciept of all items
  • Inventory Tracking
  • Generating Statistics and reports from Salesforce data software
  • Assisting with special events (ex conferences and workshops) as required
  • Performing general office duties (including telephone answering, filing, processing mail, etc) as front of office
