Responsibilities:
Warm and Welcoming Reception:
- Greet patients with a friendly demeanour, creating a positive and inviting atmosphere.
- Efficiently manage phone calls, schedule appointments, maintain our recall system, and provide accurate information to inquiries.
Patient Care Coordination:
- Assist in pre-testing procedures, ensuring patients are comfortable and informed.
- Coordinate with the optometrist to maintain a streamlined patient flow.
Administrative Support:
- Maintain organized patient records and update information as required.
- Process insurance claims and verify patient insurance coverage.
- Handle front desk duties, including scheduling appointments, processing payments, and placing contact lens orders.
Social Media and Marketing:
- Create engaging social media posts using Canva.
- Manage the clinic’s social media accounts, ensuring a consistent and professional online presence.
Maintaining Clean and Inviting Spaces:
- Ensure the reception and waiting areas are tidy and welcoming.
- Assist with light cleaning duties to maintain a hygienic environment.

Requirements:
- Secondary School Diploma.
- Proficient in MS Office and Excel.
- Experience with EMR systems is an asset but not required.
- Previous experience in a retail, sales, or office environment is required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to provide personalized care to patients.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
- Skills in Canva and social media content creation.
- Post-secondary education is preferred.
