POSITION OVERVIEW Are you passionate about human resources and looking for hands-on experience in a dynamic environment? Join our team as an Administrative Assistant this position offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in human resources while contributing to meaningful projects within our organization. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, our selected candidate will support the organization and maintenance of HR records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. They will assist with recruitment activities, including scheduling interviews, candidate communication, and onboarding. Additionally, the role involves preparing job postings, screening resumes, and conducting candidate assessments. The assistant will collaborate with the HR team on various projects, respond to HR inquiries, and provide general administrative support as needed. QUALIFICATIONS The ideal candidate is currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a relevant program (such as HR or Business Administration) with previous experience in HR or administrative roles. Familiarity with HRIS is a plus. They should possess strong organizational and communication skills, be proficient in Microsoft Office, and have the ability to manage sensitive information discreetly. A solid understanding of Canadian employment laws and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team is essential. This is funded by the Government of Canada through the Canada Summer Jobs Program. Qualified candidates must be:  * Aged between 15 and 30 years old on the start date of the job; * Have a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN); and  * Be a Canadian citizen, a permanent Resident of Canada, or a person who has been granted refugee status in Canada.  This role requires the incumbent to undergo a Police Information Check (PIC), and a Vulnerable Sector Check by the Ministry of Justice.
