Compensation Type: Non-Exempt Employment Type: Regular Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Grade: Department: Administrative Operations Position Summary The CTE Administrative Assistant provides essential administrative and clerical support to the Career and Technical Education (CTE) Department at Luna Community College (LCC). This role regularly interacts with students, faculty, industry partners, and community members. The ideal candidate can execute a broad range of analytical, administrative, and research functions with little supervision. This position requires someone who can adeptly manage multiple time-sensitive deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and completing complex tasks and projects efficiently with a high level of attention to detail. Duties & Responsibilities ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Creates requisitions in Workday, tracks processes and ensures accuracy. Prepares and submits invoices for payment, resolves discrepancies. Prepares travel arrangements as needed. Performs a wide variety of complex and confidential administrative and office support for the CTE Director and faculty. Keeps the CTE Director advised on weekly schedules, incoming calls, and facilitates decision-making for the work flow through the department. Prepares reports, letters, and proposals; collects data; assists with presentations; and drafts correspondence as delegated. Maintains confidentiality as part of being a member of an administrative office. Collects documents requiring the CTE Director's review and checks for accuracy as needed. Takes notes as required and assists with coordinating student events and industry partner meetings. Performs other duties as assigned. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND LICENSES High School Diploma or GED 3-5 years of administrative or executive support experience in an educational, corporate, or professional setting.
