OVERVIEW

Chapman Industries Ltd is a growing company that has been in operation in the Okanagan for over 30 years. As a general contractor in the field of Heavy Civil Construction and Earthworks, we specialize in subdivision development, site preparation and servicing, public road reconstruction, and road and highway construction.

We are searching for an experienced, highly organized, and adaptable Administrative Assistant to join our hardworking team here in the Okanagan.

The ideal candidate must have 2+ years of office experience (preferably in the construction industry) as well as:

  • Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence
  • Experience with Microsoft programs (especially Excel)
  • Attention to detail

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

· Must have a minimum 2 years of administrative experience
· Strong organizational skills
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to adapt and handle multiple projects
· Proficiency with Microsoft programs
· Must be self-motivated and detail-orientated
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $24.00-$26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week

· Answer phones and email inquiries
· Support managers and supervisors through document creation and upkeep, data entry, and special projects
· Support Accounting manager with data entry, filing, and statements
· Maintain and review hiring ads and review and screen resumes and potential candidates
· Orientate new employees and set up in the company system
· Maintain and order supplies as needed
· Maintain and update Excel spreadsheets
