To assist with the city utility and other collection and customer service activities.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

¨ Completed High school diploma or equivalent.
¨ Proficiency with office equipment and computer.
¨ Ability to work large sums of money and with people in person and on the phone.
3 years or more in office setting.

Responsibilities

I. Telephone and Visitor Activities 20 % of Time
A. Receives telephone calls assuring for professionalism and courtesy.
B. Routes callers to the appropriate party or takes messages assuring for accuracy.
C. Answers questions and completes follow up where appropriate assuring for accuracy and timeliness.
D. Greets visitors assuring for the best possible public relations for the City.
E. Provides coverage for other offices as needed.
II. Other Miscellaneous Activities 15% of Time
A. Maintains an awareness of the various fees that must be collected and the schedules that they operate within assuring for accuracy.
B. Collect funds, record deeds relating to Cemetery.
C. Collect and enter payments in GL for water sold, pavilions, trash stickers, cemetery lots and grave openings, Cobra health insurance, rent, building permits summary, senior social, etc.
D. Assist clerk with various clerical duties, as directed.
III. Clerk Related Activities 65% of Time
A. Maintain, prepare invoice and collect payments for special trash pick-up, water department, electric department, cemetery, recyclables, street department and wastewater analysis.
B. Order office supplies for clerk and city collector.
C. Maintain inventory and infrastructures
D. Prepare and maintain daily balance, prepare bank deposit for General Account and W & L Deposit Account; take deposit to the bank.
E. Maintain and update the Minute Books, voluntary annexations, traffic schedule, ordinances and resolutions.
F. Maintain, prepare and send Check for Insurances.
G. Prepare and maintain weekly safety meetings.
H. Maintain and update Park Foundation Book. Enter in GL cash/checks collected by Park Director.
I. Balance Water and Light Check Book
