WORK MODEL: The successful contractor(s) will be working fully onsite at Sun Life Place, 10123 - 99 Street NW, Edmonton, AB . Applicants must be authorized to work in Canada to apply (Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident). Standard Hours of work are 08:15 - 16:30 with a 1 hour lunch break Alberta time, Monday through Friday excluding holidays.

PROJECT OVERVIEW / DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES

Supporting a busy collections unit within Alberta Treasury Board and Finance, this role will perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks to support the legal collections team. Duties of the Administrative Assistant will include the following but are not limited to:

  • Proofing and formatting word documents, including collections reminder letters and demand letters.
  • Processing payments and posting deposits into CRM system.
  • Mail management including sorting, scanning, and making notes in the CRM system.
  • Prepare and send out letter correspondence by email and regular mail.
  • Data entry activities to record search results.
  • Answer phone calls and emails from debtors, direct calls to appropriate team members.
  • Basic database searches in Alberta Corporate Registry and/or Alberta Vital Statistics as required.
  • Perform records management of physical and digital documents in accordance with GOA policies and practices.
  • Record transactions in CRM system.

MANDATORY SKILLS

  • High School Diploma/GED. (Yes or No)
  • Experience proofing and formatting word documents in a work setting. (1 years+)
  • Relevant experience in a role similar to this. Experience must be applicable to this role. (1 years+)

DESIRABLE / NICE TO HAVE SKILLS

  • Relevant post-secondary education in the area of office administration. Acceptable education includes degrees, diplomas and certificates (Yes or No)
  • Experience conducting Accounts Receivable (AR) tasks and/or Collection activities in a work environment. (1 years+)
  • Experience with drafting legal documents / letters. (1 years+)
  • Experience with public sector retention and archiving of records. (1 years+)
