Description

Columbia Medical Training, a part of the Columbia Learning Group (CLG), is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support staff and students training at our Langley, BC location.
CLG owns and operates several companies, including Heartsafe EMS, Columbia Medical Training, and Columbia Paramedic Academy. These sister companies, with office and classroom locations in Victoria and Langley, BC, deliver various first aid and paramedic training programs across BC.

JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the company President, the Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support for our first aid and CPR courses, WorkSafe BC courses and entry level medical responder training courses. This includes offerings delivered at our Langley headquarters, as well as courses in rural and remote locations throughout BC.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Ability to set up and maintain electronic and paper files
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented
  • High level of computer literacy, including intermediate level experience with Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Professional and courteous phone manner
  • Customer-service oriented approach
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to respond professionally, courteously and in a clear manner
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills
  • Ability to exercise discretion in preparing confidential student information
  • Knowledge of first aid/CPR programs, WorkSafe BC training and/or the paramedic industry an asset, but not required

  • General office duties as required
