Description Job Summary: The Administrative Assistant provides direct administrative and operational support to a government sponsor, ensuring daily office functions, task coordination, and travel processes are executed accurately and efficiently. This role requires prior experience supporting government programs, an active Secret clearance, and hands-on experience using the Defense Travel System (DTS). The individual will serve as a trusted administrative resource, supporting mission priorities while maintaining compliance with government procedures and security requirements. Job Functions: · Provide administrative support to government sponsors and program staff, including calendar management, correspondence, meeting coordination, and task tracking · Prepare, review, and manage travel authorizations, vouchers, and related documentation using Defense Travel System (DTS) · Coordinate travel logistics in accordance with DoD and agency policies · Draft and format official correspondence, briefings, reports, and meeting materials · Maintain accurate records, files, and administrative documentation in compliance with government standards · Interface professionally with government stakeholders, contractors, and external partners · Assist with scheduling classified and unclassified meetings, ensuring appropriate security protocols are followed · Track action items and deadlines to support sponsor requirements and program deliverables · Perform other administrative duties as assigned in support of mission execution Requirements Qualifications and Education: · Active Secret security clearance (must be current at time of hire) · Prior experience providing administrative support to a government sponsor or DoD program · Demonstrated, hands-on experience using Defense Travel System (DTS) · Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment · Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) · Excellent written and verbal communication skills · High level of attention to detail and discretion when handling sensitive information · Position may require work in both classified and unclassified environments · Professional demeanor and strict adherence to security and confidentiality requirements are mandatory Physical Requirements: · While performing the duties of this job, the employee routinely is required to learn and apply new information and/or skills. Must be able to interpret data, information, and documents. · This is largely a sedentary role; this role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
