POSITION SUMMARY

DWP is seeking a passionate Administrative Assistant to play a central role in supporting the smooth day-to-day operations of our organization. The administrative role is both behind the scenes and front facing with our participants and stakeholders. This position helps to coordinate the national dance class program, supports the CEO and leadership team, and ensures the effectiveness of internal systems and communications.
The Administrative Assistant will oversee communications with participants and stakeholders, maintain administrative systems, assist with event coordination, and help implement strategic initiatives in each department.
This is a 30-hour-per-week (0.75 FTE) role, with required availability Monday to Friday from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM. While the position is primarily remote, occasional in-person event attendance is required.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  • Strong administrative experience, ideally within the nonprofit or charitable sector.
  • Proven project management skills.
  • Exceptional time management, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
  • High attention to detail and discretion in handling sensitive information.
  • Proficient in digital tools and platforms, with a willingness to learn new systems quickly.

PEOPLE & PROJECT SKILLS

  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Comfort working with diverse stakeholders including donors, partners, staff, and board members.
  • Strategic thinker who can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
