Aldar Education are currently seeking an Administrative Assistant - Education (Pastoral Care) for Noya British School to support our growing family of owned and operated schools in the UAE to start Immediately.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • School leavers certificate or educational equivalent
  • English and Mathematics to GCSE or equivalent

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

  • Relevant Experience
  • Currently or previously a front of house assistant, secretary, clerical, office or administration assistant

JOB SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Computer literate including the use of Isams, Microsoft, Canva or other design programmes
  • Experience of working as part of a team
  • Must be proficient in both English and Arabic (speaking, reading and writing)
  • IT literate: knowledge and expertise of office procedures and appropriate software including Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Front of house for the Pastoral Team.
  • Effective, sensitive and personable communication skills with students, parents and staff. Communication may be in written form, e-mail, via phone or in person.
  • Establish and maintain interpersonal relationships by developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintaining them over time
  • Ability to establish supportive and trusting relationships with students who reach out to Pastoral Team.
  • Support of reception staff and attendance officer in regards to students whereabouts.
  • Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Communicate effectively, sensitively, responsibly with line managers, colleagues, students, and customers / parents by providing information by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person which is accurate, timely and concise
  • Establish and Maintain Interpersonal Relationships - Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time
  • Play an active role in team work and help to plan and implement improvements to internal or external systems or processes by thinking logically, creatively and collaboratively
  • Help develop, design, or create new ways of working; applications, ideas, relationships, systems, or products, including the contributions of others specifically to your own role
  • Help, monitor, use and control resources / spending of those resources
  • Schedule work and activities appropriately - events, programs, and activities, relating to your role as well as the work of others in the team
  • Resolve problems concerning customers by analysing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems
  • Perform visual and basic checks on relevant office equipment - identify problems or defects. Contact the relevant person / team in order to get equipment: fixed, replaced or removed from service
  • Duties include general administration, diary and schedule management, welcoming guests customer service / reception duties, input data and information, maintain and interrogate information, solve problems and collaborate with others in school in order to help facilitate and support teaching, learning and business activity within school
  • Ensure that performance is of the highest standard through vigorous self-review, team improvement and organisational quality assurance.
  • To participate in the school’s community activities.

  • Assist pastoral Team (Head of Primary Pastoral and Director Student Affairs)
  • Assist Primary Principal.
  • Coordinate between Ed-team and Operations on Trips, Activities & Events, POC for trips / visits organiser at school.
  • POC for ECA’s including Engage and scheduling.
