Description Job Title: Administrative Assistant Job Status: Full-Time, 12 months Exempt Status: Non-Exempt Department: Elementary Reports to: Assistant Principal Job Summary TKA is a Christ-centered school grounded in a Biblical worldview, and we are looking for an Administrative Assistant who is a follower of Jesus Christ and is dedicated to the school’s Christ-centered mission. The primary responsibility of this position is to create a warm, Christ-centered atmosphere at the front office, providing vital administrative support that helps the school operate effectively. Requirements Essential Job Functions Regular Activities Warmly greet, screen, and assist visitors, maintain visitor logs, and issue badges as needed Provide a welcoming and professional presence at the front desk via phone, email, and in person Provide administrative and logistical support for school events from planning through execution Assist with scheduling, communication, and daily administrative tasks Organize, file, and maintain school records, including attendance, both digital and physical Process, file, and track vendor invoices, receipts, and related documentation Coordinate the high school office assistant/teacher’s assistant program Help with communication with the parent community and organize parent volunteer opportunities. Coordinate with all departments to ensure timely submission and accuracy of required documents Collect and distribute mail, messages, and packages Collaborate with IT and Facilities to troubleshoot copier and office equipment issues, arranging service when needed Maintain a clean and welcoming office space. Keep the staff workroom tidy and stocked, ordering and receiving office, workroom, and classroom supplies Assist team as needed Qualifications Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred Minimum of 4 years relevant administrative experience, preferably in a school or ministry setting Skills and Abilities Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively High attention to detail and strong follow-through Proactive, dependable, and resourceful; anticipates needs and solves problems independently Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal Demonstrated professionalism and a customer-service mindset Strong leadership qualities and mentoring skills Skilled in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; comfortable learning new software Able to work both independently in a fast-paced environment Core Characteristics Commitment to loving and serving Jesus Christ and supporting the school’s mission Must have compatible theology in line with TKA's Statement of Faith and Lifestyle Agreement Positive, flexible, and gracious attitude with a heart for serving others Able to understand, love, and relate well to elementary students and their families Must be active in or pursuing community in a local Christian body of believers Working Conditions & Physical Requirements Required to use the computer throughout the day Work will be performed from the campus Will move throughout the campus during the day May occasionally have to lift up to 40 pounds Work is generally performed, year-round, Monday-Friday from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm Salary & Benefits TKA offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance. Pay Grid: Admin IV Pay Grid Range: $25.47-$29.25 This position is paid based on a preset salary grid, and the actual salary will be determined by applicable education and experience as determined by the Human Resources department. The starting pay listed reflects this position's minimum experience and education requirements. The top pay range represents the top of the pay grid for this position. It is rare for a candidate to enter this position at the top of the pay grid. Most candidates can expect to enter in the lower to middle section of the pay grid, depending on experience and education.
