Overview:
Fluxys is an international energy infrastructure group with 1,300 employees active in gas transmission & storage and liquefied natural gas terminalling.

The Grid Department is responsible for managing the Fluxys Belgium transmission grid.
The department ensures that natural gas is supplied to end users at all times and guarantees the security and safety of facilities and the environment as well as that of the staff involved.
Specifically, this encompasses the inspection, operation and maintenance of the pipeline network and associated facilities, such as valve junctions and pressure-reducing stations.
Geographically, the Grid Department is divided into five zones, assisted by central technical and administrative support teams.
For our exploitation centre in Merksem we are looking for an Administrative Assistant (m/f/x).

You will be responsible for carrying out administrative tasks for the North-East zone.

  • You will manage and process incoming and outgoing correspondence and telephone calls.
  • You will handle administrative duties for the work performed by local staff.
  • You will process and file technical documents (safety manual, plan management, etc.).
  • You will provide administrative support for the preparation and tracking of the annual budget.
  • You will handle administrative duties for the sector’s vehicle fleet.
  • You will input and track orders in COUPA/SAP.
  • In addition, you will provide your colleagues and managers with administrative support by handling correspondence, reports, meetings, etc.
  • You will be in frequent contact with external suppliers (safety equipment, office and kitchen supplies, shipping/delivery companies, maintenance crew, etc.) and will monitor the performance of the contracts concluded with these suppliers.
  • You hold a bachelor’s degree in an administrative field or can demonstrate equivalent experience.
  • You have several years’ experience in a similar role.
  • You are a team player who can also work independently.
  • You are organised, show initiative and can work efficiently and while paying attention to detail.
  • You are punctual and have an analytical mind.
  • Processing diverse tasks and large volumes of information does not scare you.
  • You speak fluent Dutch and have an adequate knowledge of French.
  • You are a proficient user of MS Office and can quickly learn and master new software applications. Knowledge of COUPA/SAP would be a plus.
  • You hold a category B driving licence and have your own vehicle
