POSITION SUMMARY: This individual works in coordination with the branch program staff and YMCA of Silicon Valley engage staff, volunteers, particpants, etc at the YMCA of the Redwoods -- Camp Campbell. This individual plays a critical role in the overall success of our day to day administration responsibilities. PAY RANGE: $21 - $25/Hour ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Provide administrative support to the branch/camp day to day operations and Executive Director. * Provide administrative support for the branch/camp community board which may include but not limited to answering questions, attending meetings, providing meeting minutes, scheduling rooms and food. * Assist with all recruiting efforts for both staff and volunteers which may include coordinating and organizing job posts, interviews, etc. * Manage accounting functions -- including collections, invoicing, purchase requisitions, etc. * Assist in training and provide systems/computer support for branch/camp staff. * Responsibilities include tracking pledges and payments from our Annual Campaign * Other duties and responsibilities assigned by supervisor. WORK ENVIRONMENT: The physical demands of the position include: * Visual and auditory ability to observe and to respond to critical incidents and the physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency situation. * Ability to lead and interact in group activities and perform related physical skills. * Ability to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Ability to climb, push, and pull. * Ability to lift and carry objects up to 20 pounds. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: 1. 2 years plus office experience 2. Must have ability to make sound, independent decisions. 3. Ability to effectively present information and respond 4. Possess general knowledge of standard office equipment (computer, phone/fax, copier, printer, postage equipment etc.) 5. Proficient in MS Office. 6. Possess strong organizational and communication (oral and written) skills to work in a busy work environment with a high degree of accuracy.
