An exciting opportunity has come up to join the Impact Healthcare in South End Barrie! We are seeking an experienced and reliable Administrative Assistant/Front desk Receptionist to join our multidisciplinary team (chiros, physios, massage therapists, admins etc).

EXPERIENCE:

  • Customer service experience considered an asset
  • Minimum 2 years working in office administration in a healthcare/clinical setting
  • Minimum 1 year experience with insurance billings (MVA, WSIB), processing payments and appointment databases
  • Experience with direct billing and working with insurance companies.
  • Must have previous experience working in a medical/rehabilitation clinical setting

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school graduate, minimum Grade 12
  • Demonstrates excellence in communication, both written and verbal
  • Innovative and willing to learn
  • Commitment to customer service and team work
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
Responsibilities
  • Coordinates patient appointments, phone calls, and messages in a busy clinic
  • Assists patients and clinicians with paperwork (including WSIB and MVA)
  • Receives and issues payments
  • Communicates with referral sources and contacts for outreach opportunities over the phone
  • Demonstrates attention to detail
  • Charts/files/faxes and completes data entry
  • ‪Performs opening and closing procedures
  • May be responsible for other duties as assigned
