Description Administrative Assistant Job Details Memphis, TN • Human Resources Description Gestalt Community Schools is a system of K-12 college-preparatory charter schools in targeted Tennessee communities. GCS schools provide strong academic outcomes for their scholars through initiatives including meaningful community involvement. GCS catalyzes community leadership to help revitalize the neighborhood as it operates its schools in that community. Instead of debating whether education impacts the community or vice versa, GCS believes that the most effective method to support student achievement is an integration of education and community (a true "gestalt"). Position Overview: The Administrative Assistant is an entry-level position. The position is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Department. The selected candidate will provide administrative support to the human resources function in invoice support, employee relations, and staffing duties. Duties and Responsibilities: Help provide feedback on HR initiatives Process new hire employee background investigations Assist in onboarding new employees Maintain employee profiles and other confidential documents with a high standard of confidentiality Compile employee reports Provide rapid, courteous, and professional customer service to staff members Assist with employee events and activities Other special projects and clerical duties as assigned Qualifications: 1-2 years of experience in human resources (preferred) Proficient in Microsoft Office Requirements Requirements Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Demonstrate strong motivation to carry out projects Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
