THE OPPORTUNITY

Are you highly organized, detail-oriented, and motivated by supporting people and processes? We’re looking for a temporary Administrative Assistant to join our Human Resources team and play a vital role in keeping our operations running smoothly.
This position is the frontline support for HR - providing reception coverage, coordinating recruitment activities, and ensuring employees and leaders receive timely and accurate assistance.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • A certificate or diploma in Office Administration, Business Administration, or a related field (equivalent experience will be considered).
  • At least 2 years of administrative experience in a busy office environment; HR experience is an asset.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a service-focused mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort working with databases or HR systems.
  • Discretion and professionalism when working with confidential information.
  • The successful candidate will be required to provide a satisfactory criminal record check before starting employment.
Responsibilities
  • Be the first point of contact for the HR office, providing friendly and professional reception support.
  • Coordinate recruitment activities, including interview scheduling, preparing documentation, and supporting hiring processes.
  • Manage HR office administration such as supply orders, file management, and general office support.
  • Support HR initiatives and projects by preparing materials, coordinating meetings, and assisting with logistics.
  • Ensure documentation and records are maintained accurately and confidentially.
  • Provide consistent, solution-focused support to the HR team and College employees.
