QUALIFICATIONS

  • Having or working towards a degree or diploma in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or a related field.
  • 1 year experience in customer service, human resources, social services or administration preferred.
  • Previous experience in a non-profit organization preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks at once, work within tight deadlines and respond to all inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Customer service mindset, ability to be patient and available
  • Strong attention to detail for following tracking lists, and creating offer letters.
  • Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Suite is considered an asset
  • Ability to modify and accommodate process to best meet staff needs.
  • Meet all Canada Summer Jobs Requirements*
  • Police Check with the Vulnerable Sector and Child and Youth Intervention Check completed within the past six months
  • Valid First Aid certificate or enrolled in a future course
  • Experience with and knowledge of Indigenous culture and ceremonies is considered an asset.
Responsibilities
  • Support the team in collecting documents from managers and staff to ensure all files meet audit standards.
  • Work directly with outside insurance agencies in a professional manner.
  • Create process and procedure to ensure workflow is organized.
  • Digitally file employee documents and ensure tracking systems are properly maintained and updated.
  • Work on ad-hoc requests from the employee supports team, escalating to other members as needed.
  • Ensure direct supervisor is kept informed during the process of the document audit.
  • All other duties as outlined by program manager.
  • BSCS is more than a workplace.
