    Position Summary
    The Administrative Assistant I will play an integral role in providing clinical and administrative support to our patients and providers across multiple practice locations by managing schedules, triaging calls/messages, and performing and gathering pre-authorizations and referrals for medications and services. This role will also include billing, purchasing, and accounts payable responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Schedule patient appointments including verifying demographics, insurance eligibility, and managing referrals, and appointment confirmations.
  • Assist in triaging and troubleshooting patient inquires.
  • Work closely with providers to manage schedules and ensure maximum schedule efficiency and appointment availability.
  • Perform pre-authorizations for medications, case coordination with home infusion companies, and Specialty lab testing.
  • Perform Allergy Benefits Investigations
  • Document all work in Electronic Medical Record system and communicate updates to both patients and provider

Financial Responsibilities:

  • Support divisional purchasing by creating requisitions for the administrative office and clinical sites.
  • Assist with financial tasks such as processing invoices and creating business expense reports.
  • Performs related duties & responsibilities as assigned/requested
