POSITION OVERVIEW

Under general direction, performs a variety of administrative functions for superior. Assists in the planning, directing, and evaluating of section operations. Serves as staff assistant to the Consumer Credit Supervisor for the Division of Financial Institutions. Assists in the planning, development, and implementation of statewide policies and procedures, goals, and objectives for the Section. Assists with special projects. Attends and participates in staff meetings and conferences.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college, preferably with courses in public or business administration.
  • Requires one year of professional experience in a public or private organization, or completion of an agency approved professional management training program.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prefers at least four years of experience working as an administrative assistant, executive assistant, secretary, office manager, or similar.
  • Prefers at least two years of experience working within the industry of banking, credit unions, finance, or similar.
  • Prefers at least five years of experience working in a professional office environment.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Responsibilities
  • Assists in the planning, directing, and evaluating of section operations, including scheduling, documenting, and tracking ongoing consumer credit examinations and licensing applications.
  • Serves as staff assistant to the Consumer Credit Supervisor for the Division of Financial Institutions.
  • Assists in the planning, development, and implementation of statewide policies and procedures, goals, and objectives for the Section.
  • Assists with special projects.
  • Attends and participates in staff meetings and conferences.
  • Serves as backup to the section’s Executive Secretary.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
