THE OPPORTUNITY

RVS is seeking an outstanding professional for a Continuing, full-time (35 hours/week) Administrative Assistant II position starting September 2, 2025. The position will be located at the Education Centre in Airdrie, Alberta.
As a member of the Human Resources department, the Administrative Assistant II will perform a variety of administrative and clerical duties to support the team. The Administrative Assistant II will be an effective communicator with excellent organization, prioritization, time-management and customer service skills. A solid technology background is required for this position.

Responsibilities Include

  • Updating staff profiles in HRMS system
  • Assisting with OH&S auditing process and record management
  • Assisting in completion of meeting minutes for HR Department
  • Supporting coordination of audiometric testing
  • Ensuring accuracy of employee absences in HRMS and making corrections as needed
  • Meet regularly with RVS employees to receive employment documentation
  • Create employee contracts
  • Assist with Recruiter administrative tasks (i.e. setting up interviews, referencing, testing, etc.)
  • Assist with Advisor administrative tasks (i.e.. data entry, reports, etc.)
  • Accurately complete document management as per standard HR procedures and guidelines
  • Create and maintain effective work flow while handling various project simultaneously
  • Complete other administrative duties efficiently while meeting assigned deadlines
  • Support HR & OH&S operational needs as required

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Certificate or diploma in office management, business administration, or a related field
  • Two or more years’ experience in an administrative assistant role in an office environment
  • Previous experience with customer service in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience in an educational setting is considered an asset

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Outstanding communication and customer service skills
  • Highly effective organizational and prioritization skills
  • Demonstrated ability to deal with a variety of complex and sensitive issues professionally and ina timely manner
  • Ability to successfully work in a team environment as well as independently with minimalsupervision
  • Ability to think critically and deal with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and web-based applications
  • Knowledge of HRMS is considered an asset

PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • In order to be selected as a candidate for an interview, candidates must submit proof of qualifications/education as required by the position
