Our client is a top financial institution with significant North American holdings. They have operations across most major verticals, including institutional & corporate, wealth management, private client, commercial banking, treasury, and retail banking.
Introduction: Prime Hires is seeking a skilled Administrative Assistant to join our client.
Contract Period: 6 months with potential to extend or convert
Pay Rate: $20.16 per hour
Location: Nova Scotia, NS
Location Type: Remote
Business Hours: Monday to Friday; 8 AM to 4 PM / 9 AM to 5 PM

Job Responsibilities:

  • Administration of new applications
  • Maintenance of application files and follow up on required documentation
  • Receive, input and provide client and member support on requests for new life insurance coverage requiring medical underwriting
  • Provide maintenance of pending applications and follow ups for additional information, as required by the Medical Underwriter
  • Provide clerical support to the team & other daily administration duties
  • Support in ad-hoc projects or related tasks
  • Open, sort and distribute incoming correspondence, including faxes and emails
  • Prepare responses to correspondence containing routing inquiries

Experience & Qualification Requirements:

  • 2 to 4 years of previous customer service/admin experience required
  • Experience with CRM systems required
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to keep information organized and confidential
  • Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Multi-tasking
  • Customer service skills and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage one at a time
  • Detail Oriented
  • Take initiative and demonstrate accountability
