The Neuro Medicine department is one of three strategic focus areas within the Insel Group and encompasses the specialties of neurology, neurosurgery, and neuroradiology. With nearly 570 full-time positions, approximately 5,300 inpatients and 72,000 outpatients are cared for annually.

In this responsible and multifaceted role, you will make a significant contribution to efficient, patient-centered care within the Neuro Medicine department. You will work closely with physicians and nurses and will be the first point of contact for inpatients.

This is what you can expect

• At the central base of the neuro ward, you are the first point of contact for patients, relatives and external partners – friendly, competent and reliable.
• You will take on a variety of administrative tasks such as maintaining patient data, processing requests, and managing documents.
• In addition to general administrative tasks, you will assist with clarifications regarding insurance issues, cost coverage, and benefit billing.
• You relieve the doctors and nursing staff of administrative tasks in their daily work, thus making an important contribution to the smooth operation of the ward.
• You will work in an interdisciplinary manner and have the opportunity to actively contribute to the optimization of processes and the further development of the ward secretariat.

This is what you bring with you

• Completed training in the nursing or medical field (e.g., healthcare professional) or basic commercial training in a hospital environment – ​​ideally with several years of professional experience in a comparable role.
• Enjoyment of direct patient contact and a service-oriented, courteous personality
• Ability to remain calm even in hectic situations, to set priorities correctly and to keep track of things.
• Teamwork, openness and empathy in interdisciplinary collaboration
• Excellent German skills, both spoken and written; knowledge of another language (English or French) is an advantage.
