On behalf of our Government client, Procom is searching for an Administrative Assistant - Junior for a contract role. This position is onsite at our client’s Edmonton office.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT - JUNIOR - JOB DESCRIPTION:

This role focuses on delivering front-line customer service by interacting with clients over the phone, in person, or by email to assist them in accessing legislative and official materials. The Administrative Assistant will support the Alberta King’s Printer clients by helping them research and locate necessary information and assist in sales transactions and printing of legislative materials as needed.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT - JUNIOR - MANDATORY SKILLS:

  • Strong customer service skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Ability to perform sales transactions in person and via email
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in records management and document handling
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Problem-solving skills

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT - JUNIOR – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

  • Experience with print-on-demand systems
  • Knowledge of Government policies and procedures
  • Familiarity with shipping and inventory control
  • Experience with digitization of documents
  • Understanding of legislative materials and amendments
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary contact for clients requesting legislation and government materials
  • Assist clients with the King’s Printer website and ordering process
  • Handle inquiries about KP Source Professional subscriptions and online legislative collections
  • Research and locate information provided by Alberta King’s Printer
  • Prepare invoices and process transactions in compliance with PCI standards
  • Provide backup support for the Shipping and Inventory Coordinator
  • Assist with the collection of past due invoices and record tracking in Excel
  • Perform document management tasks including copying, scanning, and filing
  • Organize events and book rooms as needed
  • Pick, pack, and ship legislation and official materials
