Description The Administrative Assistant facilitates the efficient operation of the main office by performing a variety of clerical and administrative tasks in a pleasant and professional manner. Essential Functions: Perform all job duties in accordance with company safety, environmental, and operational policies without exception. Contribute to a positive team-oriented culture while upholding the company’s values. Greets customers and visitors to the office in a friendly and professional manner. Answers incoming calls in a friendly and professional manner; takes and relays messages as needed. Completes administrative tasks in support of the main office. Ensures the front office is kept neat, organized and clean at all times. Ensure all mail and correspondence is directed appropriately. Manage a portfolio of customers throughout all of Knight’s divisions; manage their needs and requests. Research delinquent accounts. Assist leadership with reconciling invoices, reports and special projects. Adheres to all applicable company policies and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent education required. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an administrative support role or other related field. Experience using Microsoft Office programs, especially with Excel. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Diligent, self-motivated, and able to work autonomously, with little supervision. Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills. Excellent problem-solving skills. Experience working in manufacturing or construction industry preferred. Ability to be self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player. Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others. Physical Demands: Able to safely lift a minimum of 15 lbs. Able to speak and hear. Able to sit for long periods, stand, walk, type, carrying, pushing, and bending. Able to work primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.
