Administrative Assistant Department: Correctional Employment Type: Full Time Location: Jackson County Compensation: $25.00 - $28.00 / hour Description Reports to Health Services Administrator This position is full-time (Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm) Must submit to a criminal background screen and maintain security clearance Must submit to a pre-employment drug screen Follows all County Policies and Procedures with regard to security and patient contacts Attends mandatory monthly staff meetings and annual trainings either by phone or in person Scans paper documents into medical record Reviews medical records for accuracy and completeness of documentation prior to scanning Reviews Release of Information for accuracy and transmits to appropriate outside agency/provider Reviews sent ROIs and monitors receipt of records Maintains HIPPA log for all records released Completes requests for approval of, and scheduling for, outside appointments Keeps all information regarding patient appointments confidential between security and the HSA only Key Responsibilities Performs other administrative duties including, but not limited to, tracking statistical data, faxing requests for records, reconciling records received, scanning documents into the EMR, and inventorying and ordering pharmaceutical and medical supplies Prepares packets for quarterly and annual MAC meetings, CQI, and infection control meetings Prepares agenda, handouts, and minutes for the monthly staff meeting Treats staff, security, and all patients with respect and professionalism. Follows chain of command at all times Follows all PREA guidelines and standards as set by the Sheriff’s Office Other duties as necessary
