Description
Position Overview:   Perform clerical work and administrative support to the chair, clinical director, online clinical coordinator, and the faculty of Speech-Language Pathology department.  Assist in achieving the program goals and objectives in conjunction with meeting the standards set by the university and ASHA (outside accrediting agency). In addition, Support the daily operations of the clinic to include, but not limited to, scheduling client appointments, maintaining clinic records and databases, clinical student databases, recording meeting minutes, filing, answering phone calls, composing correspondence, record keeping, and data entry. Act as main point of contact for students, families, visitors, and University community. Education: * Associate's degree (A. A.) in business, computer information systems, or related field.  Experience: * 2-3 years experience in roles requiring coordination of meetings, events, appointments or providing administrative support to multiple bosses using basic spreadsheet and database software. Work Related Knowledge: * Previous HIPAA training preferred. * Knowledge of clinical terminology preferred.  * Accreditation standards, FERPA (Equivalent combinations of education, licenses, certifications and/or experience may be considered.)
Responsibilities
The administrative assistant will provide clerical and operational support to the Speech-Language Pathology department, including scheduling appointments and maintaining clinical records. They will also serve as the primary point of contact for students, families, and visitors to the university clinic.
