JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for an enthusiastic office administrator to join our good nursing/care home in West Heath, Birmingham. Hours of work from 9am-3pm (flexible) Monday to Friday.
You will be the first point of call for all visitors into the nursing home so excellent customer service skills are a must.

    Pay: £12.31-£12.91 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Represent our good care home and build great relationships with current and future families.
  • Be a team player who assists the senior leadership team with the smooth running of the care home
  • To provide administrative support to the management team. You will be required to be able to use Microsoft office products, Word, Excel and will be given training on our care planning software (Nourish).
  • To deal with the clerical work in connection with new staff starting.
  • To respond to telephone calls, post and emails. To ensure they are handled quickly and professionally.
  • Organise the filing of all systems.
  • To keep all records up to date and compliant. E.g. Staff files.
  • To arrange induction sessions for new staff starters.
  • To provide the administrative support for staff and residents records.
  • To complete mandatory audits as directed by the Manager
  • To attend staff meetings and training sessions, including all mandatory training for continuous Professional Development.
  • To put Job adverts out and to send out job offer letters and request references.
  • To book staff onto induction training and processing DBS checks.
  • Manage and support with ordering of essential supplies eg. consumables and co-ordinate our housekeeping team.
  • To arrange for the maintenance/ repair of equipment in the care home.
  • Any other administrative duties directed by Management team.
