Description Summary of Role The Administrative Assistant will perform various secretarial, clerical and administrative duties supporting physicians, including acting as a liaison between the physician and the patient. Key Responsibilities Provide professional, accurate administrative support to physicians and staff as needed Maintain and coordinate calendars and physicians schedules for clinical and surgical appointments Educate and communicate patients to provide comprehensive patient care and understanding Answer and reply to phone calls/messages Schedule surgeries Interact daily with employees and management Requirements Qualifications Strong critical thinking, problem solving and attentiveness to detail Ability to write, speak and interact clearly and professionally Ability to demonstrate responsibility and dependability when completing assignments Demonstrate cooperation, courtesy and consideration when working effectively with varied people Extremely organized, strong multi-tasking and time-management skills Minimum Requirements Associates degree in business related or equivalent field required. Bachelor’s degree preferred Three or more years of related experience as an assistant to a physician or a high level administrator Experience in a medical setting preferred Experience with Outlook Calendar and Excel Proficient in all standard business software Epic EMR system experience strongly preferred
