An opportunity has opened up to come and join our team here at JA Physio, in North Whitby!
We are a multidisciplinary clinic (Physiotherapy, Chiropractic and Massage Therapy) looking for an Administrative Assistant/Patient Experience Coordinator with experience/knowledge in customer service and admin practices in a healthcare clinic setting. This role would suit someone who has previous experience organizing and managing a busy front desk. We are looking for someone who has excellent prioritization skills, superb communication skills, attention to detail and most importantly the tenacity and drive to want to succeed and grow as part of our team.
Tentative schedule (subject to change):
Mon: 12pm-7:15/7:30pm
Tues: 1pm- 7:15/7:30pm
Wed: 12pm- 7:15/7:30pm
Thurs: 1pm- 7:15/7:30pm
Friday: (may be asked to cover as needed between the hours of 9-4pm)
Total hours Approx: 25 hrs/week.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Greeting all patients cordially and professionally
  • Answering all incoming telephone calls and answering questions
  • Scheduling patient appointments accurately
  • Prepare patient chart with appropriate intake forms ensuring all information is accurate and complete
  • Charge and bill patients and/or insurance companies accurately
  • Following cleaning protocol and room setup/prep during shift and at end of day

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Customer service skills
  • Professional attitude and commitment to improve quality of service
  • Organized and willing to help maintain professional and clean workplace
  • Computer skills (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Team player
  • Provide administrative support for therapists
  • Scanning/filing paperwork
  • Process payments through POS
  • Jane scheduling system experience is an asset
  • Knowledge and understanding of extended health benefit plans and billing
  • Billing through Telus Portal and other insurance portals
