Description Job Overview: Clerical Purchasing Assistant provides crucial support for both general office tasks (maintain excel spreadsheets, emails, filing) and purchasing activities (processing POs, vendor communication, inventory tracking, maintaining records, ensuring compliance) requiring strong organization, communication, and software skills to manage documents, and support the purchasing department's goal of acquiring goods efficiently. Requirements Duties and Responsibilities: · Create, process, and track purchase orders (POs). · Maintain purchasing logs, databases, and files; verify data for errors. · Monitor stock levels, track deliveries, and reconcile inventory. · Contact suppliers, confirm details, follow up on shipments, and maintain vendor records. · Manage mail, schedule meetings, and general office supply needs. · Other duties as assigned by the Purchasing manager. Required Skills and Abilities: · Highly proficient in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot tables, formulas) Required. · Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management. · Experience with ERP/database systems, (AS400) a plus. · Excellent communication (verbal/written) and customer service skills. · Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. · This role is critical for the companies purchasing success, dedicated attendance is required. Education and Experience: · High School Diploma or equivalent · 2-3 years previous administrative / purchasing experience preferred. Shift and Schedule: · Full-time-Monday through Friday- 8:00am-4:30pm cst, flexibility to work outside the listed hours. Physical Demands: · Ability to sit at a computer for extended periods. · Ability to lift to 15 pounds as needed. Compensation and Benefits: Compensation $40,000-$50,000/annually The compensation range may vary based on experience, education, comparable job and industry skills.
