SUMMARY

The Administrative Assistant / Receptionist serves as the primary point of contact at the Trinidad Rancheria Tribal Office, representing the Tribe with professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency. This position is responsible for maintaining a welcoming and organized front office environment, managing high volumes of communication, and providing administrative support to the Executive Manager, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), and Tribal Council.
This role requires exceptional attention to detail, a high level of professionalism, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to punctuality and reliable attendance. The Administrative Assistant / Receptionist plays a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations including inter-departmental communication and coordination, and supporting the overall mission and goals of the Trinidad Rancheria.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • College coursework, an associate’s or bachelor’s degree, in business administration, communications, or office administration preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of administrative, receptionist, or office support experience, preferably in a Tribal, governmental, or nonprofit setting.
  • Proficient or experienced in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and office equipment.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated reliability with excellent attendance and punctuality.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
  • Professional demeanor with the ability to work effectively with the public, Tribal Members, leadership, and staff.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and complete assignments under minimal supervision.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License and be insurable by Trinidad Rancheria Insurance Policy.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
  • Must be available to work weekend hours as needed.
  • Indian preference to qualified applicants.
