We are looking for a Administrative Assistant/Receptionist to join our BeeU Mental Health Teams situated in Severn Fields Health Village, Shrewsbury. The BeeU Service provides emotional wellbeing and mental health services for children and young people (ages 0 to 25) in Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin.
The post holder will be working as part of a team along with Medical and Clinical Administrators and other Administrative Assistants. The post holder will be expected to be able to use their own initiative and judgement, although they will be well supported by other Mental Health Admin staff and through the clinical and professional networks accessible through the clinical teams.

We are looking for a Administrative Assistant/Receptionist working 37.5 hours per week, supporting the BeeU Mental Health Team based in Shrewsbury. Our Administrative Assistants are an integral part of our Admin Team, and our clinical teams rely on our team to provide an efficient, effective service to support them in delivering the very best care to our patients. The administration offices are busy, and the role is challenging but it is also rewarding as you support this team and the BeeU service as a whole.
What will the role entail?
Reception duties including meeting and greeting service users, carers, relatives and visitors.
Utilise the patient administration system (RiO) on a daily basis keeping accurate records and booking of appointments.
Carry out administrative tasks such as photocopying, scanning, uploading documents, typing.
Type a range of documents including emailed requests, copy typing, and audio transcription generated by the mental health pathway teams.
Use a variety of electronic systems (MS Office, RiO, MICAD, E-Proc).
Manage and deal with calls from families, carers, and other professionals.
Support the team in carrying out admin work requests via the centralised admin inbox.
Confidently handling queries of a challenging/sensitive nature.
Concise and accurate message taking.
Prioritise own workload and meet deadlines in order to meet the requirements of the post.
