JOB SUMMARY

Better Choice Staffing is recruiting on behalf of one of our reputable public-sector clients. We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Administrative Assistant to support a special records management project. A high level of confidentiality is required, as the role involves digitizing and handling sensitive historical documents. The ideal candidate will have strong clerical skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Our client is a publicly accountable statutory corporation that operates British Columbia’s land title and survey systems. Their work ensures secure land titles and accurate survey records, forming the foundation for property ownership, the real estate market, taxation, and civic governance across the province.

Responsibilities
  • Support a project to digitize historical board meeting files.
  • Apply previous records management experience (considered an asset).
  • Scan, correlate, and organize documents into digital format using MS Excel.
  • Ensure accuracy and attention to detail throughout the digitization process.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality (confidentiality agreement required).
  • Perform repetitive tasks, including standing at a scanner for extended periods.
    Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
    Contract length: 5 months
    Pay: $33.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 35 per week
