The Administrative Assistant for Research & Development (R&D) provides critical support enabling technical teams to focus on innovation, project advancement, and operational excellence. This role delivers administrative, organizational, and process support to R&D leaders and team members for fast-paced, high-priority initiatives that drive the success of Kimberly-Clark Professional’s global portfolio.

In this role, you will:

  • Calendar Management: Schedule and coordinate meetings, resolve conflicts, and prioritize key activities for R&D leaders and teams.
  • Communication: Prepare and distribute internal communications, reports, and project documents; liaise with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Document Management: Organize and maintain digital/physical records, update presentations and project materials.
  • Event Coordination: Plan and manage logistics for R&D events, workshops, and site visits.
  • Travel & Expenses: Arrange travel, process expenses, and handle purchasing and invoicing for the department.
  • Project Tracking: Monitor milestones and deadlines; support onboarding and orientation for new team members.
  • Resource Management: Oversee office and lab supply inventory; coordinate with facilities and IT for equipment and workspace needs.
  • Confidentiality & Compliance: Handle sensitive information responsibly and ensure adherence to policies and regulations.

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in administrative roles, ideally within technical, scientific, or R&D environments.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and digital collaboration platforms (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and prioritization skills; attention to detail is crucial.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Capability to interact effectively with all levels of staff and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and work with sensitive information.
  • Experience with SAP, Concur, or other ERP/expense systems preferred.
  • Proactive problem solver; comfortable working in fast-paced, dynamic settings
