Description:
The Accounting Assistant is responsible for greeting, assisting, and providing direction and information to clients, visitors, and other guests of Rote Oil l at the Sheboygan office. They will be responsible for performing routine clerical, filing, and data entry tasks for accounting data related to billing accounts receivables.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior Accounting experience preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Basic understanding of administrative and clerical procedures and systems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Specifically, Excel

Responsibilities
  • Process incoming calls by screening and directing the calls to the appropriate staff member, this may include taking messages, but will also include responding to customer inquiries.
  • Greets clients, visitors, and guests; determines the purpose of each person’s visit and directs or escorts them to the appropriate location. Helping to maintain relationships with the customers.
  • Receives mail, documents, packages, and courier deliveries and delivers or distributes items.
  • Processing credit card information and invoicing.
  • Conducts routine data entry management for accounting records for billing and accounts receivable; or assists in other bookkeeping duties.
  • Entering data into reports and/or software as needed.
  • Daily processing of truck load sheets and delivery tickets.
  • Places orders for needed office supplies, equipment, or other business needs.
  • Performs other administrative and clerical support tasks when needed, including miscellaneous project work.
  • Performs and maintains the filing and recordkeeping for documents and reports.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
