JOB OVERVIEW

Simmering Upholstery, is a 4 generation family business, seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our office, providing support to various departments, and enhancing overall productivity. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a customer-focused attitude, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. While training for our administrative position, you will get to know the inner workings of the shop and progressively learn more about sales and assisting clients.
While conducting administrative tasks you will have opportunities to shadow our current sales team and become increasingly confident with answering questions and discussing products, with the goal of also becoming a part time sales representative once trained.
Background education/experience in sales, textiles, or interior design will be considered an asset.

SKILLS

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
  • Strong computer literacy.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Experience in administrative roles with a focus on customer support and service.
  • English fluency is a necessity reading, speaking, and writing.
  • Previous experience as a personal assistant or in office management is desirable.
