Benefits: Bonus based on performance Training & development Benefits: Competitive salary We are in need of an Administrative Assistant / Secretary to help run our math tutoring location. No math knowledge is needed since the Center Director is a Math expert. Mathnasium is a math tutoring center that believes that the traditional public education system does not meet the needs of all learners and we are here to fix that! We assess every student and create personalized learning paths to meet their needs and build their math confidence and competence. What we do changes lives and we are looking for people who are passionate about helping students succeed and meeting the needs of the families who come to us. We are looking for an Administrative Assistant who agrees with this approach, who cares about helping students succeed in math, who wants to get to know both the students and their families, build strong rapport with both, help handle new enrollments, and oversee the daily operations of the center. The hours for this position would be 2:00pm - 7:30pm Monday - Thursday & Saturday 9:30am - 2pm; however, the hours are subject to change and will be different during the summer months of June, July, and August. Pay will be commensurate to experience and skills at a very competitive rate. Job Responsibilities: Be familiar enough with our program to answer questions via incoming calls, e-mails, and walk-ins to explain what we do, what we believe, and how we operate Assist with enrollments and sales by promptly responding to leads' emails and phone calls Provide exceptional customer service by building relationships with families and communicating student progress Become proficient with Mathnasium materials and processes Support the maintenance of a safe and professional learning environment Qualifications: No math ability is needed for this role Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills Sales experience / ability to close sales with empathy and understanding Ability to cultivate teamwork and balance various responsibilities Eagerness to learn and be trained Proficiency in computer programs such as email, google docs, sheets, etc. Previous customer relationships or sales experience preferred We need someone interested in the students' success, the families' success, and the process towards the students' math proficiency. This position requires a person who is self-motivated, willing to be trained extensively, and able to handle parent emails and phone calls as the priority of their job as well as explain to families how our program can change their lives.
Responsibilities
Manage daily center operations and handle new student enrollments through lead response and sales. Provide exceptional customer service by building rapport with families and communicating student progress.
