The Administrative Assistant is responsible for helping to provide an efficient and accessible administration service to support the smooth running and effective management of the Children’s Homes. The job requires both efficiency and well-developed personal skills.
We welcome newly college qualified applicants who are willing to learn.

Responsibilities
  • Answer telephone calls in a professional manner, take accurate messages and return calls at the Home Manager’s request.
  • Undertake typing/word processing, including confidential reports for Local Authorities, assessments, review records, letters, memos, etc.
  • Carry out routine filing and set up and manage filing systems as appropriate, including archiving records in line with procedures.
  • Assist the Home Managers in keeping and updating the petty cash records and other financial accounts for the home and assist with the system of invoicing.
  • Typing reports and minutes of internal and external meetings to a high standard.
  • Maintain staff records including appraisals, sickness reports, annual leave and TOIL records.
  • Assisting managers in Safer recruitment of staff
  • Completing new employees checks and references.
  • You’ll help make sure that the staff training matrix is maintained.
  • Collecting of timesheets and prepare all the necessary documentation for payroll purposes
