Description

The Administrative Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting daily office operations, ensuring a welcoming front desk presence, and assisting with a variety of administrative functions. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter who thrives in a dynamic and people-centric environment. Responsibilities * Serve as the first point of contact by greeting visitors, answering phones, and managing general inquires * Perform a variety of clerical tasks including data entry, preparing documents, and handling mail * Ensure the front desk and common areas are clean and welcoming * Receive, log, and distribute incoming packages and shipments * Coordinate with external vendors (e.g., janitorial, vending) to ensure timely and effective services * Monitor office supply level and reorder as necessary * Assist staff with HR or payroll related inquiries by directing them to appropriate contacts or systems * Coordinate meals or catering for meetings and events * Help plan and execute office functions, team-building initiatives, and employee celebrations * Other duties as assigned Qualifications * High School Diploma * Previous experience in administrative, office coordinator, or front desk role preferred * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively * Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general office systems * Friendly, professional demeanor with a proactive, can-do attitude Physical Demands * Required to sit for extended periods of time * Occasionally stand, walk, bend, and reach to access supplies and office equipment * Lift and/or move objects up to 20 pounds Sortera Technologies, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
